Here is a very wide range of software that will help you remove Personal Antivirus from your computer. Not all are free but most of the programs listed below at least have a free trial.
I should note one thing right off for those who have skipped the remvoal guides. You need to have up front protection so you do not get infected again. Almost all FREE clients provide no up-front protection. The ones that do are simply stripped down versions of the paid product. We do highly recommend Spyware doctor with Antivirus. The cost is aroudn 39 bucks but it has been proven time and again to fulyl remove PAV and all other threats on client computers. It works to prevent infections as well and it's what I use on my own personal and work computers.

Mal-Aware: This is a nice little program that helps to remove Smitfraud Clients like PAV. It is known to work rather well. It will not remove other viruses besides Smitfraud clients. It can only be ran in safe mode. A key part of this tool is to use the malware scanner from Microsoft. Rather good and worth using. » Visit Site
Smitfraud Fix: This is another great program to use. As the name suggests it was made for Smitfraud. Again this does not remove normal viruses but is used only against faek clients like PAV. It should be ran in safe mode. This tool will re-set the Windows HOSTS file so you can visit security websites and get security updates. It will also re-set highjacked Desktop tops and re-enable the Windows Task Manager.» Download » Visit Site
Malwarebytes: There is a free version of this tool. It is very good and they have good support for this client and keep it up to date. In many cases this program can be used to remove most threats. It's one of my favorite free tools for home users » Visit Site
Spybot Search and Destroy: This program has a very long history of removing fake clients and gerneral internet threats. While it only offers limitted protection on the front end it can really help to remove most threats or at least part of them so you can get things going. » Visit Site
